I was shadow boxing

And my shadow punched back

Can you imagine

My surprise?

Then I got to thinking

Is there something I don’t know

Inside me

That I’m trying to hide?

Fighting with myself

I may never win

When did I begin

Peacefully

I look in the mirror

And I wasn’t there

I could be now?

So I sat in a chair

And tried to relax

But I don’t really
